Bistro - PORT MACDONNELL

I received one of the worst meals for some time at the Port Macdonnell hotel. The "pork belly" was probably no more than 100 grams in weight, no crackle and would be called a spare rib elsewhere. Is was also so dry that one end was inedible. The only accompaniment was some mash and beans. I've included a photo of the small plate and the beans show the minute scale of the meal. I told the waitress of my disappointment and whacked the remaining pork with my knife to show how tough it was. Care factor - ZERO.

Came here for lunch with friends. Light, bright, clean dining room with plenty of other diners. Meals were mostly good although the barramundi meals were a bit on the small side. Plenty to choose from and the service was good. Good experience here and recommend.

Had a great dinner here with my friends after a diving/fishing trip. This a great place for an excellent meal without the price tag of some places. I'll definitely be back In the picture is the Kuhlua cheese cake, with coffee cream, YUM!

It was a pretty busy Saturday night (long w/end) with about 100 people dining but the meals were prompt and the staff were unflustered and very helpful. Nice food. Good size serves.

I was passing through on business and needed dinner. The service was very friendly and the food I had was fantastic. I had a steak with the 'shipwreck ' topping of sour cream, bacon and cheese, absolutely delicious.
