Whalebone Wharf - Port Macquarie

Our meal tonight was amazing, it has to be the best seafood meal we have ever had, the seafood platter was exceptional and so fresh. The waitresses were both very lovely and could not have possible done anymore for us. If you are looking for a great seafood meal this is the palace to go. Will definitely return the next time we visit Port Macquarie.

Driven past yesterday & saw the sign said "Best seafood chowder"... hmmm OK, no time. Went back for lunch today, "BEST seafood chowder" in town or 'ever' indeed!! Perfectly "just cooked" seafood in a creamy potato/cream soup. -- would probably prefer sourdough with the dish, the bread was dense enough though.Fish & Chips - looks typical, but Dory was absolutely fresh!Desert - cheesecake (the while roll) with honeycomb, caramelise source, perfectly light bitter taste. Happy with it!may be with some "blue pea flower' would looks absolutely stunning The verdict: "The Whalebone Wharf Seafood Restaurant" on Hasting river drive: definitely going back for Chowder!To top it, this tiny little bird was my companion of the day!

Have been eating at this restaurant for 16 years now. Never fails to impress. The food, service, views are fantastic!!! Had lunch there with friends today. Started with Champagne Lychee Cocktails - to die for! Followed with delicious grazing plate - dips, hot bread, pickles, olives in garlic and olive oil. Next we had the baked whole snapper - what can I say - it was "perfection on a plate". 2 excellent bottles of cab sav! Then to finish, Frangelico Affogato!! Yvette, the gorgeous young lady , who tended to our every need, was lovely - efficient, warm, professional etc.

A beautiful day looking out over the sparkling water, the wildlife and the boats. Excellent service - well informed on the menu.Our food was well-presented, beautifully prepared, and tasted exquisite. Prices were reasonable for what we had, although some would probably say expensive. This is a top quality restaurant in a magnificent setting.The restaurant is being refurbished and is expected to become Port's number one dining establishment

Had driven past this place on a number of occasions but didnt realise it was one of the best eateries in the area. I enjoyed the chowder and my friend could not speak more highly of the whole snapper. Lovely views, outstanding service. Couldn't fault it.
