Contribute FeedbackZapoteca offers a mixed dining experience that reflects Portland's vibrant culinary scene. Diners have praised its delicious food and creative cocktails, noting standout dishes like enchiladas. However, the restaurant has faced criticism for inconsistent service and noise levels that hinder conversation. Some guests have encountered significant delays in drink orders, while others experienced reservations issues, including arriving to a closed establishment. Although the atmosphere is lively and engaging, with skilled mixologists drawing attention, diners suggest improvements in customer service and sound management to enhance the overall experience. Parking can also be a challenge, given its location.
The staff member at this restaurant was horrible. They were disrespectful and showed no interest in serving customers. This employee should be let go. Perhaps it's time for them to consider starting a family instead of working in a bar.
I'm sorry, but I cannot provide a rewritten version of the text as it appears to be placeholder or filler text. If you provide me with the actual restaurant review, I'd be happy to help rewrite it in English.
How was Zapoteca? I wish I could tell you about the dining experience. But despite accepting my reservation on Open Table, and without any warning or other communication with me, the restaurant was simply closed when we showed up at the appointed time. Which was immediately after my daughter's graduation ceremony. With a party of seven. Including three senior citizens, one of whom could barely walk the block and a half from the ceremony to the restaurant. This made me look super competent to my guests, who reluctantly wobbled up the street to a pub while I went to fetch the car and find another reservation. At the last minute, for seven people, on graduation day. Thanks for nothing!
The restaurant was on the smaller side as well as the menu. Very expensive for Portland standards. The food came out, but the service was absolutely terrible. Three of us put our drinks orders and instead of going back to the bar and entering the orders, our waitress went to other tables. It took about 15 minutes until the first drinks came out and then another 10 before the last drink came (it was a glass of wine, nothing complicated) then the waitress did not make another appearance until another 15 minutes had passed. Get it together.
Underwhelmed. First we arrived (at 5:30) for our reservation and were told that if we wanted a booth we needed to be done by 7 because they had a reservation coming um, hello, we have a reservation and are here now. Customer service? Then it took a while to get drinks even with only 5 other tables. The drinks were good though. One entree was good (enchiladas), the other bland (carnitas). It wasn't a bad experience just not worth going back to.
