Portugalia - Porto

Found this haven whilst walking along the Douro during a break from the Red Bus Tour. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The menu is simple but classic Portuguese fare with plentiful portions. The prices were very reasonable as well. All in all a good find and we would definitely return.

In reference to lunch at Vasco de gama mall, Porto, Portugal. 1. The waitress treated us as outcasts and kept insisting that we should order the beef steak when we specifically ordered for the pork steak. She did it twice,but her efforts were in vain as it was too obvious that she was trying her best to sell us the most expensive dish on the menu.Then she returns to her colleagues who looked at us with disgust because we stuck to what we wanted to eat! 2. Found the waiters and waitresses racist towards us! They weren't doing us a favour nor was it going to be a free meal! 3. The potato chips that were served,were firstly cold and secondly of very poor quality. 4. Without even asking us, the waitress just placed a basket of bread and a portion of prawns along with some pate and said nothing and left. We had to call her back and tell her to take it back as we were not interested in what she served us.And right enough,when we went through the menu,the price of the prawn dish was exorbitant! There were many guests walking in and not one table received the weird reception we did! 5.Service was slow and pathetic and the staff stand and chit chat in groups and you have to literally raise your hands to get their attention! Experiences like these,make us cherish our nationality as we welcome foreigners from all over the world with such warmth and grace! 6. Anyways at the end, we still left a tip and walked away with dignity!

This restaurante belongs to a shain. Its a clean and looks like an american transformation of the típicas portuguese resto. The portugalia steak is quit good and it comes with a cream sauce. Its the best you can get at this mall.

Decent prices, friendly staff, excellent traditional food, nice atmosphere and a stunning view. What else could you want?
