Shawarma Lounge - Portsmouth

I am not sure why there are negative reviews, as I have visited this restaurant several times since university and have always enjoyed delicious food and excellent service. The atmosphere is always welcoming, clean, and cheerful. On my last visit, I ordered a chicken shawarma and my colleague had a pizza. We also enjoyed some shisha while dining.

The chef at this restaurant is terrible and the service is poor. The food is overcooked by the main chef who lacks knowledge in grilling chicken wings and making proper dishes. The staff in the shisha garden are constantly changing, and the area definitely needs a major renovation. Below is a picture of the chicken wings that were served to my brother.

Fires not crispy even though menu said so , fallafel wrap was disgusting and had odd taste , and side order of grilled vegetables consisted of two bits of cauliflower two bits of broccoli with chilli powder sprinkled on top , was expecting a decent level of food considering prices

We ordered a lamb wrap and a chicken thigh burger at this restaurant and they were both delicious! We also got a side order of cheesy chips, which were some of the best we've ever had. The girl working there, Aicha, was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave us the option of sitting inside or outside, and once we chose to sit outside, she allowed us to use the aux cord for music. Aicha also went over the shisha options with us and was very helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, both inside and outside, with cute decor. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to others.

Kuku's Thunder Thighs live here.... Need I say much more. Moved from the city centre. Thunder thigh burger is awesome. That tender though meat!!!!
