today and while it was unimaginable and we enjoyed most of our foods, the older female worker seemed unfriendly and short with us all the time, although we do not cause any problems and interact with her and other staff in a courtesy and friendly way she had an acidic look at her face after we had ordered and all the interactions afterwards. I don't know if we did something to insult her and her well-being, she has r... View all feedback.
What Vincenzo Dicki doesn't like about The Apollo:
we had the most delicious meal here yesterday. we came quite hungry and immediately beautiful fresh pita brote and taramasalata were served. we ordered a Greek white wine that was complex and very nice. the waitress helped us to decide what to have next and...it could not have been more perfect. melt in their mouth slowly boiled lamb shoulder with a delicious Greek salate and the melted cheese all combined to make a... We dined at Apollo for my husbands' birthday. The matre d was very personable, shifting around bookings to seat us at the best table in the house. Our sommelier had carefully curated an appealing wine list which included a Greek wine that had just won a Decanter award. It was crisp, flavoursome and complemented our dinner perfectly. We ordered the sardines which were coated in generous portions of parsley and lemon (lip smacking my delicious) and the lamb shoulder which fell off the bone and melted in our mouths. The comforting Greek country pallate, inviting ambience of the venue and individual attention provided by the staff made our experience very special. We will certainly return.
Delicious, innovative food in a chic environment. Top quality produce with professional friendly staff. You feel that you've had a very indulgent luxurious treat and know that it will be worth it even if the bill is large. The bill arrives and you are so pleasantly surprised so reasonable for such all round quality. The ambience is wonderfully elegant but the real star here is the food it's sublime! A must when in Sydney.
We were there for a Friday long lunch with friends. We found the food to be excellent, good service and great ambience. I would definitely recommend.
Fab food, atmosphere and service and great value for all we had to eat! The geranium dessert is to die for! and the taramasalata comes in a jar with an air tight lid and warm pita bread just superb will be back again with more
Ive never had a bad experience here . Last night it was especially good ! The saganaki cheese, the weed and cheese pie, the roast potatos and oven baked lamb. All amazing. The great thing was that the waiter advised us to drop a few dishes because he felt we were over ordering !
