Savanas Restaurant - PRAIRIEWOOD

It was clean and tidy, except for the tattered menus. The stakes ordered by 3 of our family members, was advertised as 2 400grams, it was no where near that weight. They looked like someone cut them in half. Didn’t cook them medium rear. It was pale and tasteless. The risotto chicken) was good. Garlic bread was similar to store bought. The smoke from the Arabic smoke pipes outside for guests) came stray through to inside dining area. Not a bad restaurant but don’t choose the steak. Staff were friendly but took ages to clear plates and waited for ages for our after dinner coffee even though not many people at the restaurant that night.

Popped in without booking on weekend. No problem. Seated immediately. All waitresses smiled which is important to me. Immediate impression was good. Very clean. Stylish. Portions quite big. Got chicken bosciola. Slightly disappointed. Bit too bland. Even putting extra salt on it still remained bland. Could not taste any garlic what so ever. Husbands lamb was a bit tough. Might come back if were driving by in the area and try something different from menu.

4 of us dined at Savanas for Saturday lunch. Service was very attentive and friendly. Food was well seasoned and flavoursome. We ordered the calamari, mixed grill, penne arrabiata and pizza from the woodfire oven. All meals were very tasty. We will definitely come back to Savanas.

Was so excited when savanas opened their restaurant after it was closed for so long. Ordered my usual salmon, veggies and chips takeaway. Got home and they had forgot the chips and changed the sauce. The new sauce is DISGUSTING!!! Very disappointed.

Had a great lunch at Savanas with some customers . Very good food , my pasta were perfect . the location is also good , next to a big shopping mall. We had lunch on the terrace. perfect weather and good service .
