We have eaten at El Set many times and every time we do, we are rewarded with spectacular food. I especially love their sea bass, which sits on slices of apple and then topped with a raisin and apple compote. The view from the tables, of the bay, is wonderful. We love watching the water and the many pelicans which pass by. The atmosphere is very relaxing and a wonderful experience. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about El Set:
I can't even express how gorgeous the sunset was here. The meal, however was just average. We had the surf and turf for two. The lobster and shrimp were cooked perfectly, but lacked any sort of seasoning and flavor. The turf was billed as filet, but was a poor cut of sirloin wrapped in some flaccid raw bacon. First I can't start to say enough good things about the location, the service and the extraordinary time we had here. perfect over the beach with the most incredible sunsets you can wish. the ambiente is beautiful, eating very...good and the drinks delicious. we have booked a private event and truly, wit will never begin to express my gratitude for the impeccable service, attention to every little detail and every bit stress from the planning. liliana was friendly, patient and so beautiful that I arranged all my dreams. when the weather decided to intervene, we never knew. the personal has simply adapted and our party continues. for a romantic dinner, an incredible room for an event this is the place. beautiful on all because to make memories to keep a life. A fantastic place our driver recommended at the arrival at the airport. the place is 50 years old. our server was reuben who has been there for 37 years. Couldn't have been better! eating was delicious, service...outstanding and the sunset view was simply amazing. will definitely go back and recommend to all travel to puerto vallarta!
Eating is pretty good. the personal is beautiful, though underoccupied. the prices are fair. house wine on glass is decent.
We had a group of 9 people and stopped there during our day tour for lunch recommended by our tour guide Cervando! They easily accommodated our group and we had a beautiful view of the ocean! We all had drinks and everyone had something different...for their meal. I had the Mexican platter and it was delicious! Everyone had a tasty meal!!! Would highly recommend this restaurant for the beautiful setting, great food and great staff! Thank you El Set for a wonderful time!
