Had dinner here on our last night in Quebec City, it was off the main tourist roads (we found by googling- excellent reviews . We were able to book a last minute reservation somehow- every table was full! Staff/service was excellent, your water cup was never empty and you did not have to flag a staff member down for anything- you were constantly checked on (but not pushy . Pasta (carbonara and veal parm was excellent... View all feedback.
What Jude B doesn't like about Ciccio Café:
Had very high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews and whilst my meal was very good (shrimp and scallops), my husband and daughter both felt their meal was just okay. We shared a crème brûlée which was okay. The biggest disappointment was the atmosphere which felt old and tired, rather than quaint and homey which I think was the intention. Overall an average experience. View all feedback.
Nice little local Italian restaurant that offers it's own recipe standard Italian dishes. The place get's packed so go early if you don't have a reservation. The service was very good until our waitress had to double as the bartender. The exterior sign is a bit dated but the interior has all the charm it needs. The prices were reasonable and the table setting was classy. We had the pasta frutti del mar, and the carbonara. Mi esposa gave the seafood pasta a 4 and I give the carbonara a 3.8. It lacked just a bit of the bacon flavor and dryer texture than other carbonara's I have had. I had several glasses of a house red and it was very good. If you enjoy local spots over the pricey fancier restaurants don't miss this place. We walked to Ciccio's and the last 100 meters is a bit of a climb but worth the effort. Don't miss the turn. That stretch of Rue Sainte Jean was missing a few street signs.
Back again for another terrific meal at Ciccio Cafe. Love coming here when we are in town. Everything we had was excellent. It would be nice though if the menu did get changed up once in a while as the menu is the same every time that we have been there.
Had an early dinner the other day but my partner fell ill. Not because of the food, which was quite good. Our apologies to the kitchen for getting up mid -dinner and having to leave. We will be back next time we’re in town!
The service was excellent, staff are very knowledgeable about menu and attentive. I ordered the tortellini, it was delicious!
We had a wonderful dining experience at Ciccio Café, a fine restaurant in Quebec City that offers exquisite Italian cuisine and excellent service. The restaurant has an elegant feel yet a cozy and homey atmosphere. Ciccio has a wide-ranging Italian menu with many choices of pastas, seafoods, meats and salads. I ordered the Seafood Linguine which was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The flavors were rich and balanced, and the portion was generous. The wine list was impressive, and I enjoyed a glass of the house Chardonnay that paired well with my meal. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel most welcome. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions. They also checked on us frequently to make sure we were satisfied with everything. I highly recommend Ciccio Cafe to anyone looking for a excellent dining experience in Quebec City. It is a place where you can enjoy delicious food, great wine, and superb service in a relaxing setting. It is definitely worth every penny!
