Had brunch here yesterday and there was a big improvement in both the service and food. A new food and beverage manager has taken over and things are looking up. The wait time for our food was much shorter than before and the food was delicious and piping hot. Our server was efficient and very pleasant. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Getaway Restaurant:
Not a very pleasant experience at all. We are not gamblers and therefore do not frequent the casino but we're told by a friend that the restaurant serves a great breakfast. The atmosphere is very questionable along with some of the staff that are serving you. As for the food, nothing special at all, this is only convenient for the people that won't stray very far from their gambling addiction. View all feedback.
We've had our team breakfast here about a dozen times in the past two years, each time after an early hockey game.

I joined a group of our retirees for lunch. Having never dined at the casino restaurant I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Service was good but the food was certainly nothing special. The clientele all seemed to be older casino patrons so the menu was likely more fitting for that age group and their tastes. The portion sizes were appropriate and the food was average. I wouldn't recommend for any special celebrations unless you like the ordinary.
We were going to an event in the area and chose to eat here due to convenience.We sat ourselves at 11:30am for lunch. There weren't many occupied tables. We waiting 20 minutes for a menu, then another 10 to order. The food came quickly and was delicious which is the only reason I gave this 2 stars. We had to get up and go find someone to order dessert. When dessert was delivered to our table we requested separate bills.After 15 minutes we went in search for our waitress. She was at the bar. We stood there for 10 minutes while she ignored us and then she said she wasn't ready to print our bills yet. I went and found another waitress and asked if she could print our bill. All she did was go tell our waitress. Finally she brought us the bills, luckily we all had cash or we'd likely still be there waiting to process our credit cards. The food is great, if you're in a rush, don't go here.
