Restaurant typical of the resurgence of the St-Roch district, the furniture is unpretentious but the food can pretend to be of the good tables of quebec. salmon gravlax, beef tartare and bison, duck magret plates, scallop risotto, beef baths and calf rakes... everything was exquisite. and a good selection of wines. extra. I went here for dinner with my 3 siblings based on the NYT review. The menu is not available online anywhere because it changes frequently. I was not worried, because I can always find something I like. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. Easily my best meal in Quebec City. We attempted L'affaire Est Ketchup, but they were full and recommend we go to Patente et Machin down the street. What a great place. The servers were great, so friendly, fun. The chef was something else. We had seats at the bar, best seats in the house by far, and the chef was in the zone, and created amazing meals! The bison is absolutely spectacular, and I would definitely have it again. My friends had the steak frites and the ragout, and those are also amazing. We left full and satisfied, and smiling.
Delightful experience. Service was friendly and professional, courses perfectly timed. Menu organized by appetizers, mains, and large sharing platters. Carefully crafted dishes feature local seafood meat and veg. I recommend a seat at the bar to watch the magic unfold. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Quebec!
Saw these guys on Anthony Bourdain and it was nothing short of expectations, AMAZING! Recommend this place over Panache when visiting Quebec. The food was exceptional and so was the staff.
Perfect. adopted, this is a popular, standing place, as the atmosphere of this tiny orte fragrance uozes. inconvenient wise. server in English as he my ontario french accent lol. each court explains in painful and drool inducive detail. a lot of luck to choose only one or two or three things from the menu, next time I bring friends, so we can try more! menu organized in apps (machins,) net (patente) and big-sharing boards (bruttopats.) everything sounds amazing. large mix of culinary techniques and ingredients keep the surprises coming. Succulent gourmet restaurant in St-Roch!
