Contribute FeedbackThe Charing Cross restaurant received mixed reviews from diners, with some criticizing the subpar food quality and high prices for both food and drinks. However, others had a more positive experience, with one group enjoying a private function in the upstairs room for a birthday celebration. The service was praised, especially Alice who was described as brilliant. The meals were delicious, with the Sunday roast being a standout dish. Overall, the Charing Cross was recommended for its excellent service and food quality, making it a top choice for dining near Waverley.
Set menu for Mothers Day. Lovely atmosphere and set up, complimentary drinks for the mums and kids drawing packs. Food was lovely and service very prompt.
This would be a great local but oh the service! Let's start with the wine. It's not good after ordering and waiting 15 minutes that you have to go up to the waiter and ask him for your bottle. Then there's the food. It's not good when he's forgotten your order and when the steak does come its lukewarm. Book at the Bronte Bistro over the road.
Fabulous British style sunday roast (best we've had in oz so far in 2 years!) chef was certainly proud of the food as he delivered to the table himself... and rightfully so! Starters of kingfish and scollop ceviche and house cured ham both delicious aswelll. We will be back.
What a terrible place - at the' special rate 'of $ 128.55 this was no better than a backpackers! Very noisy - no A/C - dirty - no TV - shower completely broken and unusable!
The food is great here, but so is the atmosphere. it's a place that has it all, good bar, beer garden, good food and a tab!
