What Darren Trebel doesn't like about Standard Tandoori:
Restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but service was still very slow... overall the food was ok but having requested a “spicier” dhansak....it came out completely unspicy. We had a enjoyable meal still.....but it could have been better. View all feedback.
I took the pictures of the greasy food to be an exception, considering the other reviews but MAN this stuff is greasy!!! I had Take Away for some Lamb
Generally oily food with nothing unique, the dishes were poorly presented and over cooked.
Like Aleksandra points out - good enough for the Dalai Lama, good enough for the rest of us.
The chairs were old and dirty, and the toilets, while modern, were not well-maintained. The restaurant could benefit from an upgrade. The starters were tasty, but the main courses were overly salty. The chef apologized and prepared a new main course that was much improved. We received a discount on the bill as a gesture of goodwill. The service was friendly.
Long -established, and still serving great Indian food, no compromises.
