Contribute FeedbackTurquoise and Virgils are two popular restaurants in the South Bay area that have received mixed reviews. Turquoise is praised for its healthy and delicious food, with the Baba Ganoush being a standout appetizer. The owner, Hameed, is known for his kind and welcoming service. On the other hand, Virgils has received criticism for inconsistent food quality, with the BBQ brisket being a particular letdown. However, the Memphis BBQ ribs are highly recommended. Both restaurants have their strengths and weaknesses, with Turquoise being a favorite for its welcoming atmosphere and fantastic food options, while Virgils is praised for its friendly staff and overall fun dining experience.
Both eating and service were excellent. we had lentil soup for a starter and the coubideh kabobs as entré. both were excellent. dita, the hostess, was beautiful, and the waiter visited everything perfectly. the atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming.
Great ambiance, delicious fresh food, wonderful management, great local place
Food and service was excellent. Owner came and greeted us. The shish kabob was the best I ever had.
We love going here. The owner is incredibly hospitable and sincere. We love the food, it’s consistently awesome and I never regret going there thinking, oh man I should have just cooked and eaten at home. They are cool with us bringing in our little baby and/ our big kids and are great hosts. Definitely, one of regular spots.
You can tell the owner/chef cares about your experience because he visited every table to make sure diners were enjoying their food. He also told us about the different spices he used to marinate our various meat selections. Everything gets saffron, which makes it all taste soooo good. My chicken was tender and delicious. My husband's lamb was perfectly cooked. Even the rice is delicious! This place is in the cute part of Redondo, away from the pier. Quiet neighborhood, quiet restaurant. Pretty small and casual, but definitely a great spot!
