We came across this restaurant by chance - whilst walking around the district. It was a great find! The food was excellent - we both had fish - cooked to our specifications; I like mine medium - my wife likes it well done. There is a good selections of wines - which are decanted for the customer from the restaurants own storage facilities. Ask the waiter to explain how they keep such a large range of wines. It is an... What Robin Wiza doesn't like about Sea Harbour Seafood Restaurant (River Rock) Ltd:
Below standard - the steamed fish was half-raw - and had to be treated with boiling oil - after which - the meat of the fish became "tough". It was not cheap. The chicken was not well cooked either. Overall, the meal we had was totally disappointed - and the price we paid for such poor standard of food and service was not worth the value at all. Never go back again. View all feedback.
Best dim sum in San Gabriel Valley. The wait can be long so be prepared. The squid ink dim sum items are a must get.
Dim sum is quite good though it's a bit pricier than the other restaurants in Richmond. Parking is a bit troublesome, though free, as you'd need to go all the way to the rooftop of the parkade next door (entrance on Great Canadian Way). Everything is nicely presented and quite tasty; the tea was nice but it's $2.5/per person. Word of advice, don't order the souffle. It may look impressive and insta-worthy but it didn't taste good. We didn't even finish it and it was $12. I probably wouldn't go back given that there are comparable restaurants in Richmond with equally good dim sum and cheaper prices.
Sea Harbour is located alongside the River Rock Hotel and offers authentic Chinese cuisine. The customer service could have definitely been better. I was in a diverse crowd of people heading to dinner after our conference and upon entry the waitress asked us to confirm if we could afford the offerings on the menu. That gave us all a pause. Nonetheless, as there were limited options in the area, we decided to dine in anyway. The restaurant is filled with patrons coming from the casino across the street and can get a bit loud. For an elegant space, I expected a more reserved crowd. The food was not impressive and I unfortunately experienced an adverse reaction to the peppers in the chicken and shrimp dish. If this particular conference returns to the same area, I will have to skip this restaurant and venture out to find other options.
This is a more expensive Chinese restaurant but worth it. I was staying at the river rock casino and dropped by here to eat and did not regret. Their green beans and eggplant was cooked perfectly with the perfect amount of seasoning and their beef noodles was amazing we asked for their XO sauce and that made everything even better I highly recommend asking for their XO sauce and putting that on everything and anything! Would definitely come back to try their dimsum
Nice friendly restaurant, the food is very good and tasty prepared very well. I especially liked the fried rice with the little fish eggs.
