Sockeye City Grill Seafood Restaurant

Il pesce è buono ed anche he il fish and chips. Abbiamo provato la pasta ai frutti di mare purtroppo era scotta. La vista sul porto merita ed è aperto fino a tardi per la media di Vancouver

A wonderful place to eat a fresh fish from the pacific. The fish chowder is typical and the salmon is european style. The owner of the restaurant is a German and if you are hungry, like fish and you want that the cost performance ratio is perfect, please take a seat and enjoy the lunch. The fish is fresh, tastes well and it's great to have fresh vegetables and potatoes, than it's your place.

With a family member moving to the west coast with his new wife, we decided to do something different, by suggesting we have lunch in Steveston at fishermans wharf. After walking the docks to look at all the fishermans catch of the day we settled on Sockeye City. We sat out on the patio because it was a sunny day to not only have lunch but do some people watching. Our server was excellent and provided helpful suggestions. We all had something different and all the dishes were superb and the sizes were plentiful, which came as surprise when you are ordering fresh fish. The location on the walkway was perfectly located to see everything happening. We would definitely return.

Note to Sockeye City Grill.....if there are kids in your establishment screaming and running around and more than one table has complained to the wait staff, kick them OUT. We are all paying to have an enjoyable meal and if certain parents are inconsiderate they deserve to be kicked out. Okay the food....it was good. Crab cakes had a bit too much sauce on top, I want to taste the crab cake not the sauce. The fish and chips, I only ordered one piece because I asked the waitress how big it was and she demonstrated a bigger piece than what I received. The seafood pasta was good. We also ordered a wine and was told they didn't have enough for both of us, that is annoying. So we had to order another one and it was just okay. We will try another place next time we are in the area.

Fish and chips on the pier means just that freshly made fish and home cut chips not cold fish and factory made bagged frozen french fries. A long way to go and cutting corners is not one of them.
