I had a great experience at this airport! It was clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. The rental counter was easy to locate and I was able to quickly get my rental car and leave the parking lot. Baggage claim was efficient and hassle-free. Overall, I highly recommend this airport for travel. It's a wonderful place to depart from or arrive at. View all feedback.
What Alejandra T doesn't like about Creative Croissants:
3 airlines available Flights are ALWAYS delayed Flights are expensive bc of limited availability Staff doesn't know what they're doing Nothing is automated Ppl without TSA get on the TSA line, officers don't care to say anything There's one little bar get a beer or wine bc ppl don't know how to make drinks truly the worst, the only good thing is that is not busy ever.

I flew into Roanoke airport for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The airport is easy to navigate and find your gates. It's small, but not too small, with options for shopping and dining if you have time before your flight or during a layover. I appreciated the lack of crowds and minimal wait times in lines. I would definitely choose to fly into Roanoke again in the future.
We were brought to Delta at 3am by the security guard, as all other staff had left. Our night of flying with Delta was terrible, with changing flight times and gate numbers for connecting flights. After waiting a long time for our baggage, we found that all three bags were missing. The next morning, we called the Delta desk at ROA but no one answered. However, the central Delta number did respond and our luggage was sent to ROA. We asked for confirmation and for our bags to be held while we drove to retrieve them. Upon arrival, the Delta front desk only had 2 out of 3 bags. Despite efforts from the United crew to help us find the missing bag, it was never located. We were told to wait for assistance, but were ultimately left alone and forgotten for an hour. The bag has not been found and we have not received any updates from Delta. The ROA airport police also had no information, and the Delta baggage number for ROA is unresponsive. Despite Delta's software indicating that our bag arrived at ROA, both Delta and ROA airport staff have confirmed that it is not there. This bag holds sentimental value and we are extremely frustrated. Be cautious when dealing with Delta!
Most of the reviews of this airport are misdirected and need to be about the specific airline. The morons posting on here don't seem to know the difference between an airport and an airline. As for the airport itself... it's small, easy, and clean but they've painted it from the nice blues it started off as to browns and reds... then they put in old school soda shop bar stools. It's like the airport is having an identity crisis. I wish there were better choices for flying to other cities but that lies with the fact that there's just not enough traveling public to support that. Roanoke is just too small and will always be too small. So, if you need to get to the valley... this is your airport... it make look a fright, but it gets the job done. Maybe... one day they will step into the 90's at least and paint the MOFO!
Regretting flying into Roanoke again even though I live here. absolutely worst airport to fly in and out of. we sat on the tarmac for almost an hour after landing, and another half hour to get the bags they MAKE you check. Roanoke needs to do better otherwise just fly out of Greensboro.
