Malt Ember - Rochester

The waitress was great with our big group. A pizza was burned to get a new one out. Some of the salads had not listed all ingredients, so we had to ask.

Food was great and the nightly specialties are also great

The service was slow and our food did not all come out at the same time. The table was dirty and the food was just okay, but overpriced. The restaurant needs to address the concrete floor, which is cracked and stained. Overall, we were not impressed and will not be returning.

As for the food, one person ordered mac and cheese with waffle fries, another with onion rings, and one got chicken fingers and fries. All enjoyed their meals. One person ordered a strawberry goat cheese salad wrap with French fries, which had too much dressing and lacked the grilled chicken promised on the menu. The last meal was a burger with vegetables; the burger was good but the vegetables tasted unpleasant. Our total came to $83 for five meals, three sodas, and five waters, which we felt was not worth it for the average to awful tasting food. The restaurant was not busy, with only four occupied tables in the main seating area and the bar area also quiet. Overall, we were very disappointed with the experience and do not plan to return.

The staff is very friendly and the happy hour deals are excellent. The menu includes comforting dishes as well as healthier choices.
