If you come here and want well-done you will be shot at dawn without a blindfold. Seriously you come here for the flavour and the texture of the steak. But there is also croc, roo, salmon, chicken, prawns and scallops. Honestly the best steak i have ever had, and i cooked it myself. Who cares about the decor when the food is so incredibly good. Anche buono ma molto buono no perché nel complesso l'ambiente è bruttino ,i tre eye fillet buoni ma la mia rib eye normalissima ,duretta è nulla di che, servizio un pochino rude ma buono,prezzo qualità discutibile; la signora del motel dove dormivamo ha confermato che è sopravvalutato e vive di un tempo che fu! We went to Stonegrill based on Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed.While the place doesn't look like much from the outside (and the placemats are in need of replacement), we were greeted friendly by the host and then got the special presentation/explanation by Will, who told us all about the different pieces of meat, how we should cook them, and what to look for.The meat then got served on a hot piece of volcanic stone, and ... YES, all the meats we had (eye fillet, rump steak, chicken, crocodile, kangaroo) were indeed excellent!
The Ascot is a traditional country pub that some would simply walk past because of the look.......fool be you !The Stonegrill Restaurant is a dining experience not to be passed, both for the quality of the food and the fantastic hosts with their patented showmanship.The steak experience means that you won't need the sauce and you won't be reaching for the sides too quick either.Well done team. We will be back :)
The smile both on our faces thanks to the delicious steak and on Tracy's face just because she's that friendly :) Finally, a great steak that is made perfectly to my taste, because I make it! The 440g rump in the photo was great. You don't need a sauce for that. The potato chips were unfortunately not so great, and the salad was fresh but drowned in dressing. A bit pricey but worth it. * They accept Amex.
