James delivered exceptional service at the restaurant. The seafood choices were excellent, and the desserts were delectable. Not to mention, the breakfast selection was also quite delicious.
I received a gift voucher for Kelly's Hotel and decided to dine at Beaches restaurant with my wife. The reviews were good, and it had been ten years since our last visit. The three-course meal was priced at €46 and had a variety of options on the menu. The service was friendly when we visited during the week. We ordered a bottle of prosecco but were given a house-labeled Cava instead. The food we tried was okay, but didn't quite match the descriptions. The Cava was €39 per bottle, and a tonic water cost €2.80. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience and thankful for the gift voucher that helped with the cost. While the hotel was charming, we don't plan on going back soon because of the high cost, which would have been €179 for the three of us.
This restaurant serves three meals daily: old fashioned, waitress service breakfast, formal lunch and formal dinner (they are very relaxed about dress code though, in my experience, but the restaurant itself is silver service) A full and excellent buffet breakfast is available elsewhere but the restaurant breakfast (which my parents adored) is served entirely to table
Well there’s a lot to be said about Kelly’s Resort in total which I have included in my overall review but the dining room deserved a mention on its own. Talk about family, every guest is made to fell like they have been there for years. Food; All fish dishes were outstanding, along with all starters, however presentation could be improved for pate starter. Duck main course on Sat was sublime but the steak had been left on one side for too long. Maybe look at a different cut, rib eye etc were the fat will keep keep the meat soft. Desserts were phenomenal , decadent and succulent ! A perfect compliment to an overall beautiful meal. Service; Andrew was fantastic, positions were spot on, satisfaction checks were spot on, BUT it was Mr Bill Kelly himself who showed true service etiquette and training by placing our dessert fork and spoon to there correct position during service o our second night. A true embodiment of fine hospitality service and training. Would definitely recommend.
