Shiraz In Wickersley Closed - Rotherham

Called up to order my usual tikka masala mild to find out they are no longer doing Indian food. EXCUSE ME?! i can't believe their cheek. how dare they have audacity to do this? Do they not know that they was the BEST Indian takeaway in the whole of South Yorkshire?! i am absolutely fuming. shiraz, you better sort it out not just for me, but for the people of south yorkshire.

Amazing food, fresh and full of taste. We were very impressed and will definitely be regular customers.

We have had takeaway from here several times over the years and have had good and bad experiences. The kebab/nan type options are generally very nice and the portions are very generous. The bread is nice and the salads are also of decent quality. We had one terrible experience early this year (2017) when we placed a big order during a party at some friends house. Although we all ordered different dishes, they all looked and tasted fairly similar and furthermore the consistency of them was disappointing watery. However, this hopefully was a one-off occurrence as the Indian takeaway dishes we ordered last weekend were all nice. We have never had any issues with delivery and the food has always arrived piping hot Uninspiringly average but convenient and prompt.

CANT LEAVE 0 STARS OR WE WOULD! Order regularly and varies between great and sometimes a bit spicy, but always fine to eat...this time we ordered a Pathia and it literally tasted as if an entire salt pot had been dropped in the Curry! When we rang to explain this, there was no surprise...which tells us they had made an error and tried to still serve it thinking we wouldn't notice! I cannot explain how inedible it was! When we asked for a refund rather than wait for another to be cooked and delivered, we could hear a negative reaction in the background over the phone. The delivery driver did drop in the refund but said the Manager had said we were not allowed to order anymore!! The poor man looked mortified! We have never heard anything as ridiculous! Their mistake, their inedible food, their horrendous customer service, their willingness to lose business! Looking at some of these reviews you'd think Shiraz would need as much business as possible...think we'll live with the ban and nip back down the road to Bramley!
