While the food has received mixed reviews—ranging from average starters to decent mains—issues with online booking have created significant frustration. Many customers reported arriving to find no reservation despite confirmations, leading to an unsettling atmosphere, particularly during busy times. On the brighter side, management has shown responsiveness by offering discounts amidst these mishaps. For regulars, there’s hope; past experiences suggest that the restaurant has strong family-oriented service. However, consistency seems shaky, leading many to consider whether to return or seek alternatives in the future.
I have visited ASK two times (once in Brighton and once in Tunbridge Wells) and on both occasions, I was disappointed with my experience.
The food, service, and staff at this restaurant were all excellent. However, despite booking online and receiving an email confirmation, when we arrived there was no table reserved for us. This was particularly concerning as it was close to Christmas and my friend had traveled from London while I had come from Eastbourne. Fortunately, a table was available by luck, but this situation could have caused significant trouble if there had been a large party in need of a table. It is essential that the restaurant address their online booking system to prevent similar issues in the future.
Good food, service, staff. BAD Despite online booking and email confirmation, there was no table reserved for us on arrival. Since it was close to Christmas and I had traveled from Eastbourne and my friend down from London if there was no table available, I would certainly make my dissatisfaction known. In the case, there was a table free, but that was by pure luck. You really should sort out your online bookings. If you had a big party in a table for her, you would have had more than a little trouble.

Unfortunately, the starters did not arrive and one of the main things was missing. the management gave us a reasonable discount without asking, which was polite and respectful although I had given a bad evaluation, I would nevertheless return this to a unique experience, as ask italian has provided a very good service for a family-oriented base restaurant for us in the last few years. it may be due to a change in management at this particular branch. we're going back. If there is a re-creation, we will assume that there is a decline in the service that it traditionally provides and goes elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the starters did not arrive and one of the main things was missing. Management gave us a reasonable discount without a call that was polite and respectful. Although I have given a bad rating, I would still rely on a unique experience, as ASK Italian has offered us a very good service for a family-oriented base restaurant over the last 15 years. It could possibly be due to a change in management in this industry. We're leaving. If there is a recovery, we will assume that there is a decline in the service that it traditionally provides and goes elsewhere.
