I had a baked potato with veggies. It was good although lots of veggies. My friend had the vegan burger with wedges on the side. It was delicious but not sure the sauce for the wedges was vegan. Ask beforehand to make sure. Vegan and vegetarian dishes marked, but some dishes were veggie/vegan and not marked. No vegan dessert (except sorbet) View all feedback.

We had lunch at Roots Cafe. My friend who is vegetarian went for the risotto. She asked to make it without mushrooms and was given a risotto with just rice and cheese, which wasn't bad but would have ve been better if it had a different veg in it. I'm vegan and went for the potato dish with grilled tofu and a salad. This was basically a baked potato, cut in half with some kind of soy yoghurt sauce poured over it. It... View all feedback.

Restaurant with some vegan options, including potatoes with tofu, wine and burgers.

It was delicious, but not sure that the sauce for the wedges was vegan. Ask before to make sure. Vegan and vegetarian dishes marked, but some dishes were veggie/vegan and not tagged. The interior is very nice and they also have some outside seats. Service was very good. We had vegan burgers and baked potato with grilled tofu and both dishes were good. So far we had the best vegan food in Saalfelden. You have English menus and vegan options are clearly marked.
We had lunch at the Roots Café. My friend, who's vegetarian, went to Risotto. She asked to make it without mushrooms and got a risotto with only rice and cheese, which was not bad, but would Ve have been better if it had another vegetables in it. I'm vegan and went for the potato dish with grilled tofu and a salad. This was basically a baked potato, half cut with a kind of soy yoghurt sauce. It was okay, but the tofu could have been seasoned more. Conclusion: It is not expensive (about 10eur a dish), so if you are in the neighborhood and hungry, take a bite, but it is not worth a detour. Nice staff.
