Birthday- always a enjoyable location for celebrations.

This restaurant in The Hamptons always delivers delicious food and has the most welcoming staff around.

It’s off season, but Bell and Anchor was busy and unaccommodating about moving our reservation up by 15 minutes. Frankly, our waiter was a wiseass. After our drinks arrived-almost one by one- the appetizers came shortly thereafter. However, we ended up waiting 1 1/2 hours for the main courses, one of which needed to be sent back because the well done burger was rare. The host tried his best to help out, but the waiter never apologized or checked in with us. We didn’t want to wait any longer for the burger, which we were told would be more than a few minutes, so shared one of the dishes. We frequent the restaurant off season and maybe the kitchen was just under-staffed, but I won’t be running back anytime soon.

After our drinks had reached almost one, the appetizers came shortly. we ended the waiting times for the main courses, one of which had to be sent back because the well-made burger was rare. the host tried his best to help, but the waiter never apologized or checked with us. we no longer wanted to wait for the burger we said would be more than a few minutes, so divided one of the courts. we visited the restaurant outside the season and maybe the kitchen was simply underused, but I will not run back soon.

Went for my wife’s birthday but quickly decided it is one of our favorite Sag Harbor eateries. Relaxed environment and great food.
