Restaurant Casa Flora - Saint-Hyacinthe

This is my father's favorite restaurant. We've been going there for many years.Mostly good things to say, and a few recommendations.Good: I had the butterfly shrimp, my son had the grilled shrimp, my daughter had the fried fish and my dad the perch. Those are the meals I tasted (I didn't taste my mom's chicken shish kebab) - The grilled shrimp tasted like it was grilled on flames (as opposed to grilled in the oven) and my son and I really liked it. - Both the perch and the fish were crispy and not greasy at all. My dad and daughter loved their meal-. I loved the butterfly shrimp. It was very flavorful. It is my go to meal there-. They have the best potatoes. Crispy outside, mushy inside. Yum-! The rice is fine. - My dad loves their rice pudding with maple syrup. He did laugh at how small it was though. - I was happily surprised at how fast the food came, considering that we were there at peak time on a Saturday evening-. The staff is always very nice-. The restroom is cleanRecommendations: - The bread was cold, wrapped in plastic. Not good. It just tastes like Wonderbread. I wish they served fresh warm bread-. The soup was fine, but it used to be fantastic. I feel like they now dilute dilute it with water to serve more people with one batch, but thicken with corn starch to make it appear creamier. It still tastes fine, but I miss the old version from a few years ago-. The veggies aren't good. They taste like defrosted veggies. - I wish they would have given me wet towels to clean my fingers after I ate my butterfly shrimp. I had to dip my napkin in my water to clean my fingers (and use the restroom). Overall, it is a good place to eat. You get a big portion and the prices are reasonable.

We celebrated a birthday. We arrived at 5:30... served at 7:30. for completely disappointing and disgusting dishes. Only the lasagna and pizza had good meaning. The chicken breast grilled on caesar salad tasted strange, the scalope of calf amongstgiana was doubtful (genus of reconstituted meat), the chicken skewer full of cartilage crunches. The service was terribly long, the comfort was zero because everyone was passing around us by shaking us and especially the dishes were not at all of an irreproachable quality for dishes ranging from $20 to $30. We'll never go back there again!

We were a small group of people to celebrate a birthday last Friday. the place is nice and we were not disappointed on this side. the fact that we can bring our wine is also a plus. but we were pretty disappointed, my spouse and I, on the food side. The caesar salad was very different and we didn't like it. my spouse took a plate of shrimp and he had difficulty pulling them out of their "coquil" because they did not seem cooked enough. for dessert he ordered an apple pie that he found barely eatable. as if it had been frozen in the microwave, leaving in the centre a kind of boiling that was not so stubborn. I chose a pane chicken scalope that was correct. and a thousand leaves for dessert. He was good... at each end. But the center was still frozen. In short, a regular meal that cost $75.00 for a tip included. Nothing to encourage us to go back.

Long to have coffee but we were 25 people. despite the large number we were. the plates are released at the same time and without order error. the food is good and enough.

Very good choice of sea or Italian fruit dishes, passing by good steak or pizza, I recommend the homemade steak with good mushrooms at more than affordable price on the menu of the day $14.00 and regular $17.00
