We were lucky and managed to get a window view. The service was very friendly and even though it was busy we got served quickly. The meal was pleasant -- not extra ordinary, but good. I was disappointed with their wine selection -- not even a selection. I guess they just aren't wine drinkers in that area. View all feedback.

Perfect location to dine and observe the falls. The Boaz menu is delicious and service excellent. We always enjoy the view as well as the familt atmosphere.

We arrived in St. John late, and were recommended to this restaurant because it was probably stlll open, and the price was supposed to be better than downtown. Though we arrived near closing, we were warmly welcomed (as was another couple who arrived even later). The view was very cool: right over the river. Food was prompt, tasty, and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and quick. Highly recommended.

I hope this can be revived since the location is perfect for greeting visitors to our great city.
Although my wife, Sue, and I have spent a lot of time in and around Saint John over 35 plus years (we live in Ottawa, Ontario) we had never visited this restaurant. I've driven by it over the Reversing Falls a hundred times, if not more, but it took a long day on the road to visit my inlaws in the port city to decide to pull into the restaurant's parking lot.It was like going back in time, to the seventies, in terms of atmosphere and furniture. However, the view from the restaurant is stupendous. Our server, who has been with the restaurant for 26 years, was competent and friendly. On her recommendation I ordered the seafood chowder, and the cheese garlic bread. Both were excellent. And prices are surprisingly low.The restaurant, I was later told, is now owned by a South Korean family. Before that it was a Greek family. The menu is comprehensive; however, I recommend that when you're in a port city order seafood (allergies exempt you). The first order of business for the new owners is to fully refurnish the restaurant, which incidentally is home to a City of Saint John tourist information kiosk.Of additional interest, my inlaws, longtime Saint John residents, told me that this restaurant was called The Trading Post back in the fifties, and it was, as my mother-in-law says, "A dive."Check out this Saint John gem. No pretensions. Just good service, good quality and reasonably price food, and a fantastic view.
