We went on a Saturday right at opening time. There was plenty of seating and we were helped quickly and efficiently throughout brunch. Our party of two ordered espressos with condensed milk and shared the goat cheese appetizer. The crust of the breadtasted slightly burnt to me but I just removed the parts that looked too blackened and it was good. We're petite so we actuallygot full off just that and didn't even fini... What User dislikes about Liberty Bar:
Diverse choice of food. We had the Pizza, Salmon and Chile Relleno plates. Overall, the food was good. Our dessert tasted more like homemade. Especially our under heated personal apple pie, once reheated, the crust came out slightly burned. We alsoordered mexican chocolate cookies, and warmed chocolate cake. I had fond memories of Liberty Bar from a visit several years ago and thought I'd give it another shot.
My favorite place I dined at while in San Antonio I started with the chile relleno.
I really feel like this should be 3 1/2 stars, but I'm rounding up because I'm on the fence.
Liberty bar is an excellent bar and restaurant. they have an exceptional menu, my favourite dish is the pasta with the mushrooms. they have great appetizers, sangrias and various types of beer, wein and alcohol drinks as well. blake is an amazing bartender. the ambiente, the friendly people make it worth the trip. an experience they will remember.
Fresh, handmade pastas, dressings, meatballs and desserts. attentive, friendly staff. huge selection of menus. we recommend it to everyone who visits san antonio!
