I had the pleasure of having dinner at this quaint little Northern Italian style restaurant last night. The staff was engaging and the food an wine were superb. The owner Umberto is gracious and kind. And if you sit at the bar, ask for Steve. His wine knowledge is spot on. I enjoyed a traditional Caesar salad with fresh anchovies for my starter and then the Tajarin pasta for my main. OMG! The pasta melts in your mouth and the marinated pork is seasoned perfectly. I don't usually finish all of my food. But I did last night. I couldn't stop eating. It was too good! Please check out this cute little spot if you're in downtown SF. Is a great hidden gem.
I am not sure why I never heard of this place but I am glad I tried it. I was happy with everything we ordered especially the short rib pasta. I would like to experience more of their menu.

Great food, great service! It's a bit of a throw back vibe of being relatively loud, but fun and bright! Our party had the Short Rib which was amazing and we also throughly enjoyed a special with Porchini and Truffle!! Great date night or small group place! Parking: Reasonable $15 Valet Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
