UPDATE: the owner and I communicated directly and as noted below from the owner, they have reached out to the city of SF to address the pesky mosquito issues. I am happy to hear this, as we so enjoy dining at LaMed...Owners that care about their establishments and their clients are the best! View all feedback.
The restaurant is currently running an anniversary promotion where checking in on Yelp will result in a complimentary glass of champagne. I opted for the lentil soup and Mediterranean lunch plate. The...
The pomegranate chicken was very tender and the baklava was delicious. I wasn't a fan of the lemon chicken soup, but I did enjoy the filo pastries they served. Unfortunately, there were some dishes that I didn't like.
There are many restaurants along Fillmore Street, but among them there are a few hidden gems. La Mediteranee is one of these gems. It is definitely worth a visit. It possesses the most important quality that a restaurant can have...
The food is somehow better than ever, which is saying something for a restaurant that’s lasted over 30 years in a very particular city filled with great restaurantsWe love love love the chicken silicia (I think I’ve misspelled it) sweet and savory and crispy and soft and sooooo delicious
Food: 3-4/5Service: 5/5Ambience: 3/5Pricing: 20-25 for lunch)Overall: 3.5/5We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. No wait and we were able to get seated quickly. They have lunch and brunch menu. We ordered the shakshuka and Lebanese kebeh. The food was okay, nothing special. The kebab wasn't that great, you couldn't really taste the meat maybe it had too many spices or other ingredients) and it was over cooked. The side of soup was really good I think it was chicken and rice). The sides that came with the main dish including the rice was delicious. The bathroom is weirdly located in the kitchen area and I'm not sure how they handle that when the place is busy and packed. The waiter was nice and the location of the restaurant is pretty convenient. I would go back for a quick bite again but it wasn't something very special or memorable.
