Toast Eatery is the most popular brunch spot on West Portal Ave. On the weekends, their little sidewalk parklet is packed. Today I had the Irish Breakfast $18.50, baked beans, black pudding, eggs, Irish bacon, sausage and tomato. Wait a minute, where's the traditional Irish soda bread and the mushrooms or potatoes? This dish is missing some key pieces making a incomplete Irish Breakfast. There weren't HP sauce either... View all feedback.
What Anna Estrada doesn't like about Toast Eatery:
I haven't visited this restaurant in a long time, but I was extremely disappointed. The food lacked flavor and the hollandaise sauce had a strange yellow color, resembling more of a paste than a sauce. Breakfast for two now costs over $50 (today it was $51+), which is quite expensive. I don't anticipate returning in the future. View all feedback.

Service was fine.
IT’S NOT TOAST! I’m from out of town and was looking for a a quick bite. I almost ignored this place because toast just didn’t sound appealing. I’m so glad I stopped in! Great twist on a common smoothie. I loved it!!
Delicious breakfast and options for gluten free folks. Kid friendly but a little loud. I ordered the hashbrowns with egg and cheese. Everyone loved their meals. Will come back again for a hearty breakfast in the future.
Food was outstanding! We had the breakfast burrito, the hash brown hill (added an extra egg) and the fruit and cottage cheese, all 3 dishes were amazing!
