Bonnys Bar and Restaurant - Sancoale

During one of my trips to Goa, I stumbled upon this restaurant recommended by our taxi driver for its great local food. It started off as a tiny house but has now expanded into a larger building. The furniture and seating are basic, but the fish is fresh and delicious. The menu isn't extensive, with only 4 or 5 different types of preparations available. If you're looking to discover a place with good food, this is the spot for you.

Whenever we visit Goa - we always visit this family shack. We were staying in Calangute Residency but we made it a point to visit this place. Lovely seafood variety and Goan dishes. The prawn fry are very good and not forgetting the surmai fry in masala and rava and chonok fry. Also good fish curries.Location also good certain tables facing the seaside with a good view and lovely sea breeze. Drinks also were good and reasonable priced just like the food the price were reasonable. We were first for lunch to get the table facing the sea view and after some time the entire place was full - some of the people had to wait to get a seat. Service is prompt by the staff and polite even though family friendly.Don't expect much of ambience since it has got plastic chairs and table.

We always make it a point to visit this family-run restaurant whenever we are in Calangute. The seafood and Goan dishes are delicious, especially the prawn fry and surmai fry. The location is great, with specific tables on the coast offering a beautiful view and refreshing sea breeze. The fish curries were also very good. The drinks were also tasty and reasonably priced. We went for lunch and managed to snag a table with a sea view, but the restaurant quickly filled up and we had to wait for a table. The service was friendly and efficient, though the ambiance was nothing special with plastic chairs and tables.

I discovered this restaurant and what a gem for enjoying delicious Goan cuisine. The food is very flavorful and the restaurant is very clean. It may take a bit longer for your meal to be prepared, but it is definitely worth the wait.
