Since reverting back to an Asian restaurant we were impressed with the food and service which is way ahead of the bland experience it replaced. Prices are a bit higher than the former Asian version but the quality is very good and the servings are enormous. We had lunch and took the rest home to reheat for dinner. The menu is quite extensive with Chinese, Thai and Malaysian options as well as old fashioned Aussie cho... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Country Club St Georges Basin:
We Visited the club often , our first few encounters were ok, on our second last visit we received half our meals and half of someone else's, then when we noticed the other half of our meals were sitting under a heat light because they have us two table numbers and they didn't know who it belonged too, I assumed it was just one of those nights, food was okay- our last experience was horrendous my partner send back hi... Went up to the Club for dinner and drinks to support the Club on News Years Eve and wished we had not eaten there. We got there just before 8.00PM and the restaurant was not busy, so you cannot use the busy excuse for the...terrible food we were served. We are locals and have had nice food up here lots of times, but not on News Years Eve. We ordered a Supreme pizza and a Chicken Schnitzel and they both came out pretty quickly. My wife 's Schnitzel was overcooked and dry, the chips almost burnt and the salad had so much dressing on it, it was laughable. I had a Supreme pizza made by a young girl 2 weeks before and it was fantastic. The pizza was made by a young guy and he should still be picking up glasses in the main bar area. The pizza had all the cheese, way too much of it, on top off the pizza and had not been cooked enough. The fillings were not cooked through because of the cheese barrier on top and it is the worst pizza I have ever tasted. We should have sent both meals back or got our money refunded, but it was late and it was not worth the trouble and were hungry. Go to the Husky RSL where they can cook pizzas and Schnitzel properly, not like the Country Club, which is supposed to be the best Club in the area.
Have eaten here a number of times this stay and the food has been incredible every time. Apparently they have just had a new chef take over, all I can say is great job! best schnitzels ever!
I went to this restaurant with friends and had the Mongolian beef dish, which was the best I've had in a long time. Every meal we ordered was excellent. The atmosphere was clean and modern, and the staff was great.
I took my mother out to lunch and had one of the best dining experiences of my life. The service staff was fantastic and the food was incredibly fresh. I will definitely be returning.
I had a great time this afternoon at this restaurant. The club is very inviting and the bistro has a fantastic menu. I ordered the delicious salmon chorizo pasta, which was delightful, and my daughter loved the seafood special of the day.
