La Catouniere Chateau De Sancy

The breakfast is too poor. The restaurant it self is really nice it's modern compare to the hotel itself.

The food is traditional French not too fancy, not over the top. The quality is good. I had the carpaccio of vegetables in an olive oil dressing that was very nice if somewhat expensive. I then had the turbo which was really very good. It is worth noting, as others have said, this is really about the only game in town if you are staying at the chateau.

The restaurant is part of the chateau de Sancy and the location is perfect. It is the only restaurant within several kilometers and the gardens and castle are worth the travel. However the food is bland and banal. The service is quite good but what you get on your dish is not adapted to the setting and, I would dare to say, the price. Most of the people having dinner when I visited were staying at the hotel and had an included dinner in their rate.

A very elegant setting were to enjoy a romantic dinner if your going with your other half but it's a restaurant where you can have s business meal or even a family lunch. The service it's outstanding and the food and wine are just delicious. Everything is gourmet so don't expect huge savings. You'll be satisfied with what you eat. If you get dessert bear in mind that the marshmallows with chocolate; again really gourmet and is not joke, although a great choice you'll find yourself with a rather strong flavour from the chocolate since it's dark unsweetened chocolate. If you like that type of chocolate then go for it. You will enjoy everything.

Courteous service, excellent food, unfortunately served on a cold plate, which, by the time I was halfway through had cooled the contents.
