The miso soup is flavorful, and the rice in the sushi is perfectly seasoned. The hand-made sushi and dishes like sashimi, tempura, and sushi rolls are delicious and worth the wait. It's a lovely spot for a filling and pleasant meal, even if you have to wait a little longer than usual. The authentic flavors and cozy atmosphere make it a favorite among many diners, and definitely worth revisiting for a delightful dining experience.
We waited minutes to be seated, even though there were several empty tables. Then once seated, no service for another minutes. We left and I don’t think they even noticed. There was only server for the entire restaurant and she was suffering so we didn’t fuss. We were told they are closing soon and it seems like they have given up already.
We waited for minutes for anyone on the staff to even acknowledge that we were at the hostess desk, rather than just walking by without saying a word. The party ahead of us eventually gave up. The several parties behind us were discussing doing the same.
They let us wait minutes past our reservation time. And then told us that they could not take us. Offered a corner table and told us we would have to wait that people get served before taking our order. We loved the food here and I was hoping to have a final taste before they close. Too bad. Beyond disappointed.
Reservation was not appeared in restaurant’s portal upon arrival. The service was slow.
Excellent fresh sashimi ...as usual. Hatcho is consistently high quality.
