What KevinK doesn't like about Plumed Horse:
Top notch experience for the tasting menu. They make accommodations for vegetarians. Excellent service from the moment you walk in the door. Recommended for very special occasions. View all feedback.
Beautiful culinary experience, which is well worth its Michelin star. Extremely careful and mainly gluten-free diet for my wife, including delicious gluten-free bread. The carrot cake is irresistible, which attracts a delicious mixture of aromas, fine fruits and herbs. Service was so friendly and helpful throughout. The cocktails are also attractive and delicious! Very recommended for a special occasion.
We had the tasting menu and everything tasted good. The tasting menu comes with bread and butter, an Amuse Bouche, 6 small plates, 2 desserts (1 is based on cheese), and 4 pieces of complementary chocolate (the place is also a chocolate house). They also have wine pairs and non-alcoholic beverages. My favorite was the trout with plum vinegar, radishes and Yuzu so fresh and the flavors (sour, sweet, salty) pair together just right. Also love the cheese dish and cooks signature dish the souffle. The citrus non-alcoholic drink was also good, but the fruity was too sweet. The glasses used for the drinks were dirty and sticky on the outside. The rest of food is fine, dishes sometimes tend to be on the salty side. The staff is very polite. The room was very cold, which was not ideal for beautiful dresses without a jacket or blazer. It's great as a one-time thing for celebrations, but not sure if it's 100% worth the money.
We visited this Michelin restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and picked horse definitely made this night special. Caviar was a good way to start this meal, they offered champagne to enjoy it. I liked cold Abalone with orange taste. Their wine selection is amazing (Menu can be overwhelming, but it shows that they really invest in wines much), we visited their crystal clear wine cellar as we leave special memory.
I took my daughter to the plum horse for the weekend's birthday and it's hard to put in words how wonderful it was. We started our dinner with their reserve caviar service, then the cook tasting menu. Champagne for me and rose-blooded limonade, I think for her. Each course of our meal was unique and exquisitely composed. My daughter told me I looked like a child in a candy business; I couldn't stop smiling all night, and I haven't seen my teenage daughter smile so far for years. The restaurant is about one and a half hours from me at home, and it's not cheap, but I feel like it's worth more than every cent and minute on the street. When I write reviews, I try to compare apples with apples: burger connections to burger connections, car shops to car shops etc., and I have to say that although I was only at a few very fine places, I cannot remember a place that felt so happy. In part, it saw how happy it was that my daughter felt for her special day. (Full disclosure: I know the Sous cook)
They try to take care of every detail. We opted for the menu in an outside dinner. Because we had our dog. All the food was amazing. New flavors. I think next time I will go for the chefs menu. My favorite was the soufflé (I think is one of their signature plates. You need to ask for it). Service was really good. Kind and they can guide you in what you prefer. The wines were really good.
