This place has good food and outstanding outdoor seating. There is a large screen television for watching sports, billiards and darts for fun activities. There is plenty for families, including board games. There is a good selection of local brews, local lamb burgers, and other options. The pub is right at the ferry terminal so it's the perfect place to hang while waiting for the ferry or whenever. The seating area i... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Lighthouse Pub:
We expected a better meal after reading reviews. Arrived 2 1/2 hours prior to our ferry departure, and it was a good thing we did. We sat for 15 minutes before being acknowledged by a server, who then took our drink order and brought menus. An order of cod fish and chips was ok, but nothing to recommend. The fries were barely warm and limp. I had the prawns and salad, the salad being the best part, but still nothing... View all feedback.
Because of its location, opening hours (every day of the week), and lack of competition for much of the week, a visitor to Saturna pretty much has to rely on the pub for at least some meals. While the food (it's pub food, after all) is adequate, it would be great to have a few more wholesome choices--some big fresh salads, for example. We had to eat there 3 nights in a row because everything else was closed and we had no food prep facilities where we were staying and that was just too many times.Servers were lovely and friendly, though, and the location can't be beat. We actually watched an otter on the rocks below eat a crab it had just caught!
Get to Saturna for dinner and sit on the patio at the Pub! After 5 min you have forgotten the reality of the city. Fries are delish burgers are ok! The view is unbelievable.
Very good fish and chips, wonderful view and excellent service. We were delighted, our waitress also put gas in our car.
We spent a delightful evening here enjoying wine and food and the lovely view. This is such a quaint and delightful spot - you feel like you are a million miles from everywhere busy, stressful, and hectic. The sunset from Lyall Harbor was one for the memory books. Wonderful service too.
A terrific deck with a view west over the water make this very warm at the end of the day. Friendly staff and good food.
