What User doesn't like about Hotel Sanskruti Restaurant:
Preparation of the food was horrible with overuse of spices and colours. We left food uneaten for the first time ever, in this restaurant. Also, the food wasn't worth the price. View all feedback.
While returning after shopping at a newly opened Mall in Porvorim Goa, on a warm early evening, walking into Sanskruti Restaurant just for refreshments was the idea. We were actually not hungry but just for the sake of soft drink, etc. The Restaurant looked ok like, no Airconditioned hall, nothing exactly to impress. So without an expectation we placed our orders in a mood to finish in a routine way and move out. First thing that attracted our attention - waiter was courteous, usually it happens, no big deal. The South Indian fare we ordered was common, masala Dosa, onion uttapam. As the items were tabled, the big surprise was taste. It was very close to authentic. The sambar was steaming hot and aromatic. The coconut chutney was neither smelly nor watery. The Dosa was filled with spicy filling and was not a lousy potato crumb type and the onion uttapam was neat preparation. In a tourist jungle of Goa, either you pay big prices for tasteless food or compromise with lousy standards of dishes at most of places. Sanskruti Restaurant was a surprise eye opener. Reasonable prices, Good Food, not so bad ambience and cordial service. Common man's food at common man's rates with no big pomp or show, and a definitely good taste with good service, I don't think one asks for big hypes. My recommendation - Try it. You may feel an urge to review Sanskruti for its gastronomical surprise.
If you enjoy looking back on old memories or are tired of trying new things, this restaurant is perfect for you.
We had our breakfast here, we tried Sambar idly, vada, mysore masala dosa & rava dosa all are good in taste
Expensive for vegetarian food. deterioration in quality of food since 2013. no working class local can afford them despite having a local ambience.
This was our breakfast go-to-place at a time. Been there recently and the hygiene levels have dropped
