A classic dine in Chinese restaurant. The service is fast and efficient even if perhaps a little too authentically taciturn. The ambience is old school, but all the better for it. The best thing though is the food, which is simply delicious. Really tasty. Overall very underwhelming experience, found the meal very average along with the staff not very interactive with the customers to say the least ! Also very keen to take your order before you have even had time to read through the menu. Wont be rushing back anytime soon.
I have been visiting this restaurant for many years and enjoy the takeaway. I used to eat in regularly, but I have noticed that the restaurant side is less popular these days and is very empty. This is such a shame as the food in here is always excellent.
Food was pleasant but there was no welcome at all from the staff when entering the restaurant. No chopsticks. No knives. No enjoy your meal. No, is everything ok with your meal. No thank yous. No goodbye when we left.
The Kung Po Chicken was very tasty but I feel the staff could try to be more friendly. Fast service. Is the food cooked fresh while you wait or simply heated up in a microwave
Went for a meal out with 5 friends last night for a catch up. First the positive food was very nice, piping hot and plentiful. Now for the actual experience entered the restaurant and said hello to the lady who was at the back of restaurant, was taken aback when I was grunted at. Sat down with friends and was very much pressured into ordering immediately, we were seated at the back of restaurant near the kitchen so we were being stared at the entire time…. really uncomfortable and resulted in lots of nervous laughter. Ordered food but really felt like an inconvenience. As I said food was nice. Drinks are very expensive £4.70 for a lime and lemonade! Food put on table with no chat, no enjoy your meal etc. Stared at again throughout meal. We split the bill and as some of us had had more we calculated what we had all had, the lady was ok up until the last person was paying and pretty much shouted at one of my friends! Coats on and exited pretty quickly, Will NOT be returning or recommending to anyone. Really need some training in customer service definitely! Avoid if dining in!!
