Tried the pho at this super popular Vietnamese restaurant- I thought it fell a little below standard as the soup wasn’t sufficiently flavourful. The portion was otherwise good. The spring rolls only came in $10 x8 portion which I thought was a little unreasonable for a side especially if there is only 2 pax to share. This Vietnamese restaurant in Singapore offers some of the best dishes I've had, but it may not compare to authentic Vietnamese cuisine found elsewhere.

I never knew there was a little piece of Vietnam in Singapore?! I don't think it's officially recognized, but the hotel porter directed me to Joo Chiat Road.
Fantastic taste, authentic flavour. The soup is sweet, clear and flavourful. Had their signature special beef noodles and spicy beef noodles. Spicy noodles is not too spicy. Their fried spring rolls are real crispy. Their Vietnamese coffee aromatic as well! Be prepared for long queue.
The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a Vietnamese flair. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and I had the special beef noodle #1, fried rice with pork #43, ribs, and quails #81. It took around 15 minutes to receive all the dishes. The only area for improvement would be for the waitresses to be a bit more friendly. Overall, the food was pretty good, and I would recommend this place to anyone in search of Vietnamese cuisine.
