I can’t remember the last time I received service as bad as this. Nelsons in HH was too busy so I thought I’d try the Shelly. It was empty when I arrived and I began to realise why. There was a young lady at the till who failed to acknowledge me. She finally took my order but had to wait for another lady to get my food. Her attitude was awful. Only place for fish and chips to go and when the manager puts on an extra chip freyer that only chips makes it safe for allergies and into tolerances my little girl can have chips with the family
OK, so I have visited the chippy many times and the food is beautiful....tonight at I visited with my friend and our children. We ordered chicken kebab chips, curry and chips and a sausage. Hostile service would be a compliment. I am so disappointed...that the lady was so uninviting but when asked they'd had a long day. If you can't be polite close the door. The food was rushed and not to their usual standard. I will not be visiting again sadly.

We would recommend this place to any one who asked us about where to eat. We hope you are hungry we got a single portion of chips and I could have feed people.
Cannot give a poor review as have been very satisfied coming here for many years at least once a month. But I have to say, often have had to grill the cod when I get home as it can be undercooked. Last Sunday was the...most undercooked I’ve ever had and so ended up not eating it. It’s such a shame that this does happen sometimes and it’s sort of a relief when it’s not. Other than that, spotlessly clean and I don’t mind waiting for good food. Today we went to Dovehouse chippy due to last week’s experience. It’s my only criticism, I hope this review is read because this place is virtually perfect and I love to see a great chippy do well.
