Poped in here for the 2 for 1 on a Monday and food was very good. Huge portions home cooked chips. Comfy welcoming pub. Great value for money on the 2 for 1 would happily pay full price. Will be back. This place should be packed. Especially on the 2 for 1 Monday nights. Best value around View all feedback.
What hairytrucker63 doesn't like about The Six Ashes:
Out for a drive to find somewhere to eat and came across this lovely looking pub with lots of signs outside claiming good food etc. Pulled in and parked up. Only to be told when inside that we don’t do food on a Monday in a tone that suggested that I should have known! The place looked great but don’t stop here on a Monday. Just a thought, maybe move your signs or put one up that informs your potential customers of w... View all feedback.
Amy the landlady is the most personable warm landlady I have ever met. We were staying in the cottage attached to the pub but tonight was the first night I went to the pub. Wish I’d come here earlier in the week. If you go to Bridgnorth and DONT have something here, you’ve truly missed out. If you have FOMO, get yourself down here. Sam from Hastings
Such a lovely evening with a fantastic land lady, our friends were staying in their lovely holiday cottage. Gorgeous old historic inn, in a lovely picturesque village. Thank you for a lovely Saturday night!
Had Sunday lunch here today. It was fantastic one of the best roast dinners we have had out in a long time, proper home cooked food with great fresh ingredients, lovely choice of food plus snacks and a main menu on a Sunday. A lovely lemon cheesecake aswell Highly recommend will be returning again
I absolutely loved it. The weekend of the new year was sensational. I especially enjoyed the quirky teapot in the flat, as it really added a special touch to the room. Overall, it was a classy experience and I highly recommend it.
My partner and I went out for the day on Saturday and were looking for a nice place to have lunch on our way home. We stumbled upon The Six Ashes, an old English country pub that was very picturesque. There was plenty of free parking and a lovely patio in the front beer garden. The bar was nice, although a bit dated, and the staff were polite and attentive. The beer we ordered was very good, but I noticed toward the end of my drink that the glass was a bit dirty. We ordered another round of drinks along with some bar food - fish and chips for me and a Cajun chicken burger and chips for my partner. When the food arrived, we were disappointed. My fish was a basic cod in batter (like something from Iceland) and the chips were good, but not what I would expect from a pub restaurant. The burger was awful - a dry chicken patty in a plain bun with a soggy bottom and some questionable dressing. I wouldn't even give it to my dog. The chips were decent, but the salad looked old. We were very dissatisfied with our meals. A member of the kitchen staff came out to ask what was wrong, and when I showed her the burger, she simply said it was fresh that day. We paid for our drinks, left the food, and decided that while we would go back for a beer, we definitely would not be returning to eat there.
