Contribute Feedback What Theodora Corkery likes about Alf's Cafe:
For a hospital cafe/cafeteria Alf’s rates highly. There is a large amount of choice salads/sandwiches, hot food (both meals and snacks), coffee and cakes, as well as a wonderful juice and smoothie bar. The coffee can be hit and miss, it really does depend...on who makes your coffee. The juice bar is great, with the option to make your own combination juice. Prices are a little expensive, however, again for a hospital... View all feedback.
What Kevin Schuler doesn't like about Alf's Cafe:
The food at this restaurant is inexpensive and always delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating, despite the busy atmosphere. However, I was disappointed this time when my meal was served in a plastic dish. It felt childish and the food spilled over the edges. I would prefer they bring back the ceramic plates. Additionally, I would like to see non-plastic options for knives and forks. View all feedback.
The restaurant that served coffee and delicious food was unable to confirm any ingredients in their dishes. When asked about allergies or dietary restrictions, they simply replied, "I'm not sure." This lack of knowledge is disappointing, especially for a cafe in a health-conscious society. It is important for restaurants to be able to accommodate those with allergies or specific dietary needs. This is truly disappointing.

This restaurant offers a fantastic variety of options to cater to all tastes and dietary needs. They serve a wide range of homemade dishes, from simple to more gourmet options. The prices are very reasonable, especially when compared to their competitor, Zuki. Overall, a great place to dine with hardworking staff.
Our son was flown here and we found ourselves in the alf’s cafe. Chinese selection is popular and fresh pills are always added. I had some amazing garnels with original spicy, lemongrass and kaffir lime leaf. so brilliant aromen. the chips are good, carving. burger tasty. fried rice, foccacia with a selection of fillings, sandwich bar to design your own sandwich, sushi. was never disappointed. the prices are around the $10 11 mark. the restaurant has plenty of seating, but can be very busy and important peak times. outside area is nice on warmer days. I found when they go a bit before 12 and 17 o'clock, they can take it out and avoid the mass and the eating still fresh.
As most people do we found ourselves with family in the Alfred hospital. This is a huge cafe with lots of people. It looks daunting but the service is really quick and the staff friendly and keen to get your order to you quickly. The...food portions are generous and their is a variety of stir fry dishes, chips and burgers, sushi bar, and sandwich bar either made to order or Ready made. There is a coffee bar and a smoothie bar. The restaurant is kept clean with tables cleared and cleaned regularly. Attached is an outside area with umbrellas and an outdoor area at the front of the hospital as well. I have mainly had the stir fry dishes with rice and found them to be very good portions with good flavour.
