What User doesn't like about Hibachi Cafe:
Was excited to get take out from this place for a get together I was having at my place. I had ordered quite a bit, and when I got home, it was all wrong. I went back to get my real order, and I was told I was wrong. Wow! So I had no choice to take what I paid for and then I had to get creative and doctor everything up. Time consuming. Defeated the whole purpose of getting take out. Very Disappointing! View all feedback.

All in all we would come back again it was that good.
I wish I had known about this place earlier. The restaurant is unassuming and almost hiding in this plaza. We sat down and there was a menu with both English and Chinese. Everything sounded good with many things I've not tried before. I believe the owner said they specialize in Fujian-style cuisine, however, I may be wrong about that. It's not Sichuan or Cantonese styles which are more popular.I've tried about 75% of the menu over several visits. It's consistent, friendly, fast, and I can't believe how fair the prices are relative to the large portions. They make many things daily themselves including: hand-cut noodles, soy milk, etc. Really can't recommend this place enough. The menu has a range of comforting soups and noodle dishes, pickled and/or fried dishes, and even offers a shared plate for trying several items. The owners are always happy to explain menu items.
It's AUTHENTIC Chinese food!!! It's delicious and reasonably priced, and it's my favourite restaurant in all of St. Catharines.
Fantastic spot for traditional noodle soups and other dishes. Green onion pancakes, edamame with pickled veggies and veg noodle soup with soy sauce egg and pickled veggies are the way to go. They make their own soy milk, too. Love this spot.
This is the way Chinese food is supposed to taste. Sorry Mandarin! The place is quaint and clean and the menu is simple. Enjoy!
