Lorenzo's is consistently superb from great food, to excellent service, to nice atmosphere, and overall hospitality. Best spaghetti Bolognese EVER, and an awesome veal picatta dish that is truly special. And, you always feel comfortable and like you fit in if dressed up or dressed comfortably. What User doesn't like about Lorenzo's Trattoria:
The first time here: we went early at 17:00. We had the dining room for most meals. Hubby ordered the Ribeye Steak Special, with white wine, prosciutto and mushroom sauce. Delicious! My chicken risotto was ok, dice chicken in a risotto sauce. It was a little exaggerated with cheese. And I'm a big cheese lover! Tirimisu and cream Brulee were exquisite!!! You can't go wrong on Capitol Hill, and Lorenzo's definitely lived up to its reputation. The food was fantastic and the service was top-notch.
The food lacked flavor and was not properly seasoned.
I ordered the lamb shank with cauliflower orzo at this restaurant. It was decent, nothing special. However, the pistachio cake was absolutely delicious!
Had a wonderful light meal of mussels and polenta! Tony the bartender was a delightful host and great service.
Great food and service. Our favorite italian restaurant. No real need to update since everything is still the same. Great great great!
