Omaras - STANTHORPE

Lovely friendly staff. The meals were typical pub grub and as such were acceptable. Not a place to go if you are looking at fine dining, but great for a quick bite & a beer.

Went to Stanthorpe for granddaughters 14th birthday recently and decided to go back to O'Maras Hotel for a Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. There was 6 of us and our meals totalled $93. All the meals were large portions and the food was fresh and absolutely delicious and well presented. When I asked for a slight alteration to one of the fish items the kitchen staff were more than happy to oblige. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I haven't had as good meals for great price in some of the Brisbane pubs, and It was a cool winters day and the wood heater was going inside and that gave the place a lovely homely cosy atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I highly recommend O'Maras restaurant, and a great place to take the family. They have rooms available as well for the weary traveller I believe.

This pub has by far the best dining in town - they offer good value-for-money hearty country meals (pies, steak, chops, etc) from a menu that has a reasonable range. The staff are friendly and even though it was a busy Friday night, service was quick enough. Highly recommended.

When staying in Stanthorpe we usually have a meal at Omaras. A big friendly country pub. Good value meals plenty of choice. In winter the fires burns creating a great atmosphere. Do pop in good cold beer, good food and wine list.

We always book a table and the staff are very friendly and a tentative with drinks and a wonderful meal. Steak, fish, Guinness pie or shanks, a hot fire both warm and comfortable - nice ambiance and pleasant surroundings. Good value and a great pub meal every time.
