What User doesn't like about Orchard Restarant At The Limes Country Lodge:
We previously have visited the limes on several occasions and had a lovely Sunday lunch , however today we were so disappointed .our meal was booked for 1.30 but after asking several members of staff and the manager numerous times when our meal would, be arriving it still hadn't arrived at 4 pm .there were 12 of us in total including 3 children , this meal was for my birthday you let us down badly today disappointing View all feedback.
Five of us had lunch at this restaurant. We visited to assess the establishment for a potential Sunday Lunch social event for our club members. The atmosphere and setting of the venue are lovely. Unfortunately, there was no real ale available and they had run out of Guinness. The House Red wine was labeled as "Fruity Red," but the Bar Manager was unsure of its origins. The lunch menu had multiple spelling and punctuation errors. The Falafel was made with whole chickpeas instead of ground ones. The Chicken Pie consisted of chicken in a sauce with a piece of puff pastry on top. The mashed potatoes and peas on one of the "pies" were lukewarm at best, and the peas lacked salt and sugar. My friend had called ahead to ensure his wife could have a vegetarian meal, and they were offered a choice between a vegetarian pasta dish or an unspecified mushroom dish. The mushroom dish was disappointing, consisting of only one field mushroom. My wife's fish and chips were decent. We decided to skip dessert and coffee. The chef explained that he had recently taken over and was working on developing a new and improved menu. Despite our hopes of discovering a hidden gem, we left disappointed with our experience at this restaurant.
I took my mother out for lunch on Friday with the intention of booking for Mother's Day. I checked the website and saw they were offering a new Bistro Menu. We arrived at 12:15pm and saw signs outside advertising the same menu. Inside, there were only a few people - one table in the restaurant and a couple in the bar. We couldn't find any staff at first, but when the waitress finally came over, I asked if we could have lunch. She asked us to wait while she finished serving others in the dining room. When she returned, she informed us that the chef could only offer us coffee and cake. I inquired about getting a sandwich or something else, but unfortunately, it was not possible. It was disappointing and a waste of time. I wouldn't recommend going back, and I suggest others do the same. As a result, I decided not to book for Mother's Day. We'll be heading to Arrow Mill instead.
I was part of a group of 16 on Sunday at a restaurant with only 3 other tables, one of which was ordering afternoon tea. Despite our 2pm booking, we were unable to all sit together at one table. Our orders weren't taken until after 3pm, and we didn't finish until around 5pm, after the head waiter had already said goodbye to us. One of our group had several allergies, including gluten, but despite being asked multiple times, a large Yorkshire pudding was mistakenly included on her plate. After being challenged, the staff confirmed that it was not safe for her to eat.

We had a table booked today for 1.30. We had to chase up menus so we could order. Only 3 of the 4 starters arrived. The children's meals arrived after 2 hours. Everyone else got their food before us even those who sat down way after we did. The manager was useless and kept fobbing us off. Telling us it would be 10 minutes. At approximately 3 pm some plates of food were brought to our table only for them to be taken away again as they had made a mistake, the food was for someone else. An hour later at 4 pm, we left in total disgust. I am diabetic and had not eaten since breakfast and my niece is 28 weeks pregnant with twins! DON'T GO HERE EVER, NOT EVER.
