Un grand merci au team de la Brentaz. Une fois de plus, nous avons très bien mangé en terrasse. Malgré la forte affluence du Vercojazz vous avez assuré ! A très vite. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Brentaz:
J'ai bien ri...si le repas était bon , quand vous demandez un foie gras avec gesier de canard , le chef oublie le canard et on vous le ramène dans un bol ...jamais vu ça mais sinon le sourire est de mise et le service bien que pas très organisé ne fait pas oublier un bon repas View all feedback.
Excellent food, service very friendly, safe the best restaurant in Vercorin. Tenant is super friendly. Beef tar is the thing to try. Variant selection for children.
For a small mountain village, it is a very pleasant surprise to find such high level cuisine. A lovely atmosphere and friendly efficient staff. A good choice of starters and mains with a handful of deserts. A good wine menu to choose some of the...great local Valais wines. A bit expensive but worth the price. The starters could be a few francs less expensive à bon entendeur)!!! A restaurant to visit and re-visit ! One of my favourites.
Coming from Spain we enjoyed this very particular place where you can tast very good fish. the chef is of Bretagne ! my wife had an excellent meat. thanks to the dedicated service of Barbara and here kind employee we spent a nice night. the...only real problem is that the restaurant is not in Chalais but Vercorin ! we spent time to find it. trip advisor will correct. thanks. Miguel
We found ourselves in the tiny mountain hamlet of Vercorin, needing lunch for 5 and chose La Brentaz on the basis of the menu posted outside the restaurant. Outside and in it looks like a typical Swiss bistro, but the food was far from the...ordinary fare one would find in such a restaurant. In short, the presentation was exceptional and the food was excellent. Three of our party ate the special of the day, an entree of mushroom and leek on flaky pastry, a main dish of tagliatelle pasta with sauteed beef and vegetables, and a dessert of sable and warm figs with pistachio cream on the side. Everyone found this fixed course delicious. The other two ordered a-la-carte and were equally pleased. The giant prawns with curried butter and sauteed vegetables was particularly well-received. The melted goat cheese on toast with baby greens was very tasty if nothing particularly special. The wine list is quite broad, including several local, Valais vintages, and you can definitely find something that will fit your meal. The two downsides were that the service was quite slow and there are limited vegetarian options (no vegetarian main course at lunch at least, although they offered to make a risotto plate for the vegetarian).
Definitely the best place in Vercorin and amongst the best in Val d'Anniviers. No doubts! Never disappointed
