Noodle king has always been a favourite of my work colleagues. The upstairs seating has soft cushiony seats and even a wall of books...very unexpected in a chinese restaurant. Usually it's not busy during lunchtimes either. Service is decent and they even allow for split bills. Food is best shared with my favourite being the shredded pork + wrap (used for peking duck usually). But the dumplings and noodles are all ha... View all feedback.
What Lila Durgan dislikes about Chinatown Noodle King:
Girl was very welcoming however once we ordered our food everything came separately and 10 minutes after each other. Other tables were getting their food before after ordering after us. Quantity for the cost was not worth it and the food did not taste great at all! Dirty dishes left everywhere and the place is so run down. Terrible experience. View all feedback.
A beautiful no-frills-Chinese restaurant, which serves a wide assortment of classic dishes (your flat noodles, cold or fried, are definitely to choose to select) and above all, dumplings! The highlight was surprisingly the shady or spring onion pancakes - they were crispy but flaky, but tough and full of taste, a must for every pancake enthusiast. Grief The price is definitely fair in view of the quality and the taste, and there are many seats on the ground floor and upstairs with tables and cabins that are scattered. And as if it could not sound sweeter, it is also with BYO, so perfect for large groups.
Noodle king is really the king of the pasta! Your Laksa is probably one of the best in Sydney! Ideal for a cold winter night. Tastes just as well when you are taken away to be eaten in the comfort of your own home.
A nice no-frills Chinese restaurant serving up a wide assortment of classic dishes (their flat noodles, cold or fried, are definitely to be looked out for) and most importantly, dumplings! The highlight was surprisingly the shallot or green onion pancakes - they were crispy yet flaky yet chewy and packed full of flavour, a must-try for any pancake enthusiast. The price is definitely fair considering the quality and taste and there is plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs with tables and booths scattered about. And as if it couldn't sound any sweeter, it's also BYO so perfect for big groups.

So happy to have found this place. Was in Beijing last year and wanted to find a local Chinese place that serves up authentic dishes like I tried in China and this place fits the bill. My favourite dish that you don't normally find at Chinese restaurants in Oz is the scallion pancake. A definite must!
