Very friendly and attentive although she was the only waitress on the floor last night. The dishes are in good quality. Shabu Shabu set is reasonably generous. The beef is worth to go back for seconds. Will visit again in near future! View all feedback.
What Elsie Hunt doesn't like about Daruma Japanese Restaurant:
Note: Dinner is very different from lunch. This was dinner. Got confused by their ordering system as it wasn't explained properly nor was it clear. Maybe it was just tonight that the waiters weren't willing to help? Food was deceptively smaller than what the menu generously shows. Food was average compared to other city places for Japanese, added the very long weight time, higher price for something more average and... View all feedback.

Very generous servings and affordable pricing. The curry had many different options for toppings and sides to choose from; this variety is available for all their dishes. The location is a little difficult to find as it’s on the top floor of a small shopping centre. <br/ <br/ The restaurant and seating itself is not the greatest, it looks cheap and a little on the dirtier side. However the food is well worth it considering the price, quantity and quality. An amazing cheap eat find!<br/ <br/ DISHES SAMPLED⠀<br/ CHICKEN KATSU CURRY W/ MIXED TOPPINGS The chicken pieces and tempura were all delicious. You receive a huge serving that will no doubt fill you up for a cheap price. The calamari was average and did not taste fresh. The curry had the perfect amount of flavour and spice that complimented the rice and vegetables.<br/ <br/ Instagram: @sydneyfoodreviewer
I've only eaten Japanese a couple of times, but was guided by the delightful staff and a friendly customer. Sashimi was incredible, don't skip the eggplant and the prawns were hands down amazing. Chicken, dumplings, sake... Beautiful. Price was great too. Thank you for a lovely experience!
Great food, fresh, lots of variety, good priceI’ve gone there many times and it’s never disappointing. The sashimi is fresh, hot pot is great price and tasty- a serve of pork and another serve of beef, with veggies and tofu on the side, very nice and satisfying meal.Highly recommend the hot pot. At the end if you have rice with it that’s even a perfect ending as u get all the tastes from the pot. It’s great atmosphere always very busy, it can be a bit noisy if you prefer quiet meal, but if u r in a group of friends it’s a great place to go where you can enjoy food and look after everyone ‘s different choices of food (got variety) and have some laughs and fun.
Amazing take always! Used to take every day two or more boxes since value and taste is great! However, some dishes on restaurant premises are average. I ordered tempura udon, which was quite simple for $15 price. Staff is amazing and friendly!
