What Loyal McCullough doesn't like about La Bora Pizzeria Ristorante:
Not a fan. Have been here a number of times but have left disappointed each and every time. Pizzas are very average, the base is always overlooked and shatters when you cut or bite into it. I haven't tried any of the pasta dishes but those that have been ordered by people on my table always look watery and overcooked. Dingy atmosphere but the service is usually (although not always) quite good.Give this one a miss. View all feedback.
Good food and good quality service. Restaurant feels rustic and old fashioned. The linguini polpette was just delicious, it was cooked just the way I want it. Pasta was aldente, meatballs were huge I couldn't finish them and the sauce very yummy. My mouth would water just thinking about it. My husband also enjoyed his risotto which I thought was very tasty and creamy too.

It's hard to find traditional pizzeria in the middle of city centre, La Bora has been our go to business lunch place for no frill old school Italian feast. Menu consists of classic Italian antipasto, pasta and pizza, nothing fusion or posh. This down to earth choice of food is exactly the reason why I like this place. My favourite dish spaghetti marinara, it was simple yet delicious. I am not a fan of penne amatricana simply because I don't like my pasta soaked in pork fat. Decor was 80s style but you will find many restaurants in Italy are similar rustic and dated. But it is often in one of those places you get the most authentic culinary experience. thernbdiary.com
